Kathus was a lonely boy and he never spoke to people or had any friends, since he was at a very young age he snuck into strangers funerals, he also valunteered to stay with sick people, he never meant to help them he only stayed with them so he could witness thier last moments, he even faked his own death so he could secretly observe his own funeral.
after people discovered what he has done they rejected him and considred him dead, then he travled to the shadow isles there where he willingly gave his life forever over to the undeath, this is how the king of death was born.
